Beaumanor Hall Beaumanor Hall, situated within the village of Woodhouse in Leicestershire, was built during the 19th Century for the Herrick family

It has had many roles over the years. Originally a grand country home, it later became a signals unit in World War Two. In the mid-1970's Beaumanor was purchased by Leicestershire County Council who converted it into a Conference and Education Centre.
The Hall is surrounded by beautiful gardens and parkland and there is ample car parking on site.

The residential Education Centre will be our base for the weekend. It is located in the Park grounds adjacent to Beaumanor Hall and offers cabin accommodation, camping facilites and a very limited space for caravans. Each cabin is self-catering and can sleep up to 18 people, mostly in dormitory type accommodation. Cabins can be hired at £125 per cabin per night or £8 per person per night. Camping is £4 per person per night. Caravans are £5 per person per night. Please note that cabins and caravan spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Cabins 1 & 2 - These can sleep up to 16 people in the main dormitory and 2 in a staff bedroom. Each cabin includes a living/dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, toilets and a washing/showering area. The staff bedrooms are en-suite.

Cabins 3 & 4 - Each of these two adjacent cabins has two dormitories for 8 people and two bedrooms for 2 people. Each cabin has a living/dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, toilets and a washing/showering area. Cabins 3 & 4 can be linked internally by opening up a partition that normally seperates the two kitchens.

On Friday night a simple meal will be provided in the Fox Cabin and there will be a music and song session hosted by Grand Union Folk Club. Weather permitting a camp fire may also be provided. The coaches will leave from here on Saturday morning and there will be a regular free bus service between the Hall and Barrow on Saturday afternoon and evening.
